Aegis Rover

An autonomous rover that patrols a farm plot and uses computer vision to detect soil and crop pests. Each time a pest is identified, it sends an instant alert to the owner's phone via Telegram, enabling timely, targeted intervention and reducing crop losses.

The project

Crop protection that never sleeps

Aegis autonomously scans a farm plot, using a computer vision algorithm to identify soil and crop pests as it moves. Each detection sends a notification straight to the owner's phone on Telegram, so action can be taken before the damage spreads.

Pests are often spotted too late, after the harvest is already at risk. Aegis patrols the plot consistently, replacing occasional manual inspection with regular, reliable coverage.

  • Autonomous patrol

Covers the farm plot without manual control.

  • Soil pest detection

Identifies pests in and around the soil.

  • Crop pest detection

Spots pests on plants and foliage.

  • Computer vision

Recognises pests from live camera imagery.

  • Instant Telegram alerts

A notification to the owner's phone each time a pest is found.

  • Targeted intervention

Know when and where to act, and cut crop losses.

How it works

Patrol. Detect. Alert. Act.

  1. 01

    Patrol

The rover travels the plot on its own.

  2. 02

    Detect

The vision algorithm analyses what the camera sees for signs of pests.

  3. 03

    Alert

A confirmed detection triggers a Telegram message to the owner.

  4. 04

    Act

The farmer responds early and treats only what needs it.
